Tips of application of polycarboxylate high-performance water reducer(VI): Compatibility Issues of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizers
Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer cannot be combined with Naphthalene-based Superplasticizers, as it will result in undesirable effects if both are used with the same equipment without thoroughly cleaning it. Therefore, it is recommended that polycarboxylate superplasticizers are preferably used with a separate set of equipment.
Currently, air-entraining agents have good compatibility with Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer when combined, primarily because the dosage of air-entraining agents is low and can be "dissolved" with Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer to enhance their compatibility and complement each other. Sodium gluconate in retarders also has good compatibility, while other inorganic salt additives have poor compatibility and are difficult to combine.
